Life is full of questionable moments when we are not sure what direction our life is going. We stumble daily to find our true calling and even may start to believe that we have nothing to offer this world. I want to encourage you not to believe those lies and God made you just the way you are on purpose. He places things inside of you that only you can deliver to others, just the way you can deliver it.
God has allowed you to overcome situations that you can now share and give hope to others around you. Don’t get stuck in the earthly way living day to day with no meaning because our heavenly father wants you to remember why you are here.
The Bible verse “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 reminds us of this.
For many years, I struggled with listening to the voice of God. I wasn’t sure if it was his or my own. I didn’t know how to discern his voice and therefore would continue living a life in immorality. Sin, lies, lust, and betrayal were my best ideas of getting by in life. I would do whatever I needed to do to satisfy myself and didn’t really care about others or their feelings. I was always right and everyone else was always wrong. You couldn’t tell me anything, and if you did, I wouldn’t listen. As you can imaging, this was a very hard road to travel and many times I would do it alone.
When I gave my life to Jesus the first time, I experienced many trials that still had me questioning if I made the right decision. Its because I knew who Jesus was but I still wasn’t listening to his voice. It took me a long time to get to a place of developing a relationship with him and living a life that included trials, tribulations, and soul searching. Yes, we experiences these as Christians because this is where we develop our faith. At this time, I figured out that God had given me gifts that he wanted me to share. Many things I had been through and overcame that would help someone else in their daily walk.
So, if you are thinking you have nothing to give, say, share, contribute, or offer; you my friend are wrong. Dig deeper into his word and as he speaks to you listen to what he is telling you. I want you to know that we are all sinners and need Gods grace and mercy. If you feel you are not worthy of a blessing or how could he love you, be encouraged that he loves you more than you know. You were made in his image and he is waiting for you to run to his arms that are open wide.
Listen for Gods voice to speak to you. You may be surprised what he whispers. But, be ready to step forward in faith.
