So, here we are at the end of another year. Looking back I would say that 2016 has been a year full of blessings, opportunities, accomplished dreams, but there is plenty ahead in sight I would love to begin.
First of all, I want to encourage you that if you have dreams or goals still left on paper that did not become reality for you…don’t worry. Set goals, deadlines, a plan of action, and set them in motion. Write down daily action steps to help you move forward. A dream without a plan of action is just a wish. That may sound so cliche, but its the honest truth.
Everyday write down your top 10 things that need to get done, work off of those, move consecutively in order until completion. Then, and only then, if there is time left over in the day start on the next days top priorities. Give yourself a break and don’t stress. Allow yourself grace and understanding that in life things happen and you will have unexpected pop-ups, but forward movement is better than no movement at all.
At the beginning of this year, I only dreamed of having a blog, owning a t-shirt company, and starting business classes that would help me learn the importance of how to build my brand. Now it seems unreal that I accomplished all of those things. There is one thing that I would love to do in 2017, and that is to write my first book. To be exact, an autobiography. I have some plans in the work, I want it to be very special in the creation, pics, and wording. I believe that God is ordering my steps and eventually he will give me the words to say and it will all come together. After all, I will be the writer but he will be the creator, as he is of all things. I want this to be for his glory and serving others and leading them to Christ through my words.
My plan for the next month is to revamp my t-shirt line and add a few more selections to help remind you Whose you are not who you are. Stay tuned for more information! Exciting things coming.
Everyone needs a little encouragement. I want to leave you with a huge dose as we celebrate Jesus birth and come to the close of yet another year. These verses have given me so much truth and guidance as I have walked humbly through my journey God has led me on. I will be honest when I say, there were times I was not pleased with the direction of my life, unsure, felt stuck, but here I am writing this to you. You can also plan, set goals, and complete them however you chose. I’m already proud of you.
I want to leave you with some verses and I hope they bless you as they have blessed me this year. My prayer is that you will use them in your daily walk when you need truth, encouragement, strength, wisdom, uplifting, hope, and faith.
Dig deeper into his word as a first resort, not the last.
Phil 4:19 “and this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Matthew 11:26 Do not fear therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows. Therefore, whoever confesses Me before men, him will I also confess before My father who is in heaven.
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, and help you; I will uphold you with my right righteous hand.”
Proverbs 3:26 For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.
1 Cor. 6:19 or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.
Psalm 119:64 The earth O Lord is full of your mercy, teach me you statuses.
One more goal of mine is to remember scripture better by writing them down. Right now, as I journal, I write down ones that speak to me I want to remember on 3×5 notecards. If you are as bad at memorization as I am, this is a great idea to adopt. I encourage you to try it.
I hope all of you reading this have a safe and blessed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and remember Jesus is the true reason to celebrate!
Until next time
